The basic function is unarguably the same for everyone. No one has ever argued or considered the heart as an organ for seeing or hearing. What internally constitutes the heart is a topic of debate till date. But even from experience, we have come to terms that the inner quality of our hearts is not the same. One heart may be more forgiving than the others or one heart may react more than the others to different environmental demands. Abu Student Emerges as Winner Of The 2023 Sillerman First Book Prize

By Mathew Daniel, U17mm1160 African Poetry Book Fund (APBF) names Abu Bakr Sadiq—a 400 level student of the Department of Fishery and Aquaculture in Ahmadu Bello University—as the 2023 Sillerman prize winner in a release dated 28th July. The Minna-born poet becomes the eleventh winner and the third Nigerian to do so, forming a triad of fine Nigerian Sillerman prize winners alongside Gbenga Adeoba (2019) and Tares Oburumu (2022). Emefiele: DSS, NCS clashes on who to take custody

By; Stephen Ogoyi,  U17mm1202 Despite the court order granting Emefiele bail, men of the Department of state security (DSS) still did not adhere to the order given by judge Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High court Ikoyi. The embattled, suspended CBN governor was on Tuesday granted bail by the Federal High court Ikoyi in the sum of N20 million and bringing one surety. Shortly after the court section on Tuesday, the battle of who to take the suspended CBN custody ensued by operatives of DSS and Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS). After the court proceeding came to an end, even with an order for Emefiele to be remanded pending his perfection of bail in Ikoyi Facility of NCS. Operative of DSS stationed themselves to rearrests the Suspended CBN governor. This was highly resisted by NCS operative who later gave in and let Emefiele to be rearrested. Onome Ebi, 40, set the record of the first African, male and female to appear 6 times in FIFA world cup competition. She first represented Nigeria’s national team Super Falcon in 2003 FIFA women’s world cup and subsequent competitions in 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019 and the current completion. Super sub Asisat Oshoala in the match Nigeria vs Australia scored the third goal in 72 minutes of the match to give Nigeria 2 goal lead, and making her the first African Female to score in three different FIFA women’s world cup. Oshoala also scored in the 2015 and 2019 FIFA women’s world cup totaling three score in different editions. Both players making Nigeria and Nigerians proud. Scoring the winning goal against the host nation in the 2023 Women's World Cup held in Australia, thereby, sending Nigeria to the top of group B. The Barcelona forward has scored in three consecutive women's world cups scoring against Sweden in 2015, against south Korea in 2019 and now against Australia in 2023.
