Ahmadu Bello University's campus came alive with vibrant colors, rhythmic beats, and a rich tapestry of cultural display at the Day-2 of ABU-SRC Grand Carnival held on Friday. The event, which took place at the university's main campus showcased a fusion of traditions from around the country, drew students, staffs, and local residents together in a celebration of unity and heritage. Kontagora Square which is the venue of the highlight of the event, came alive with vibrant colors, smokes and scent of traditional incense of all kinds, captivating performances, and a palpable sense of unity as students and locals celebrated the rich mosaic of  the Nigeria traditions. The event, held on the lush grounds of the ABU campus, brought together a multitude of cultural displays, each more enchanting than the last.

The ABU Grand Carnival wasn't just a spectacle of sights and sounds, but also a meaningful opportunity for cultural exchange and understanding. Students and visitors alike had the chance to engage with students from other cultures who passionately shared insights about their heritage. This exchange of knowledge fostered a deeper appreciation for the diverse backgrounds that make up the ABU community.

The carnival also featured a myriad of art installations, live music performances, and interactive exchange that allowed attendees to immerse themselves in the various cultures represented. From henna painting to calligraphy demonstrations, every corner of the carnival grounds offered a chance to explore and learn.

"We are thrilled to see the incredible turnout and the enthusiasm of our students for celebrating cultural diversity," said Umulkulthum Adama, a student of ABU, Zaria, and also part of the organizers of the event who was turbaned as the Sarkin Hoton ABU. "The Grand Carnival is more than just an event; it's a testament to the unity that can be achieved through the celebration of our differences."
