Dr. Adama Adamu, HOD Mass Communication ABU ZARIA, Ascends To The Rank Of Reader

 The management of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria has on 31st August 2023 announced the promotion of 54 of its academic staff.

25 of its academic staff were promoted to the rank of professors and 29 were promoted to the rank of readers. 

The promotion took place at the 526th (Regular) meeting at the school's senate. 

The promotion spanned across different faculties in both Samaru and Kongo. among the ascenders was Dr Adama Adamu, the current HOD of mass communication department, ABU Zaria, who has been promoted to the rank of a Reader/Associate Professor.

In a congratulatory letter signed by one of her colleagues and the Chairman/Group Editor-in-chief of the Education Monitor Newspaper, Malam Waziri Isa Gwantu described Dr Adama Adamu as a fast growing academic Icon in the Mass Communication community, not only in ABU, Zaria, but in Nigeria’s academic community.

“Dr AA, your recent promotion to the rank of Reader or Associate Professor of Mass Communication by the distinguished Senate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, did not come as a surprise to anyone that knows you, giving your hardwork, dedication to duty and exemplary passion for scholarship” Malam Waziri said.

The Vice chancellor Prof Kabir Bala commended their efforts and urged them to put in more work towards promoting the good will of the institution.

Mass Communication Sets 2021/2022 Finally Graduates from ABU!

After an additional 2 years to their normal 4 years course, finally comes to an end.  The students could not hide their emotions after so much delay in their seek for knowledge within ABU as they wrote their final papers as an undergraduate students on the 18th of September, 2023. This is a significant accomplishment that deserves to be celebrated.
