It has been a question on the lips of football fans around the world as to why some footballers wear ripped socks. Here's an explanation that seem reasonable as @Sports_Doctor2 tries to unravel the myth:

(The Trend Of Cutting Holes On Socks)
Yesterday we saw Conor Gallagher of Chelsea wearing socks with holes at the back and he's not the only one in on this trick.

The holes on these socks help release tension in their legs which helps prevent them from picking up muscle problems or cramps.

The socks too can be too tight preventing adequate and effective blood flow and circulation.
